Whoever wants to live in a socially just and democratic Europe must not be afraid to cut back on the influence of the owners of capital and to eventually overcome it.
It is not by chance that in Europe today profits of enterprises and private wealth are exploding on the one side, while on the other side there is poverty, social exclusion and precarious employment which is rapidly growing. It is also no coincidence that the so-called EU Reform Treaty has a neoliberal and militaristic approach. EU policy is increasingly shaped by a few transnational enterprises and an influential wealth elite.
